Seyed Mohammad HosseiniMaterials, Structures & Earthquake Engineering
About

Researcher, lecturer
& structural design specialist

My work connects advanced materials, structural behavior, seismic resilience, and engineering design.

Biography

I am a Postdoctoral Researcher and Lecturer at McGill University and a Structural Design Specialist at MST Rebar Inc. (MST-BAR). My work focuses on durable and earthquake-resilient concrete structures, with particular interests in fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) composites and ultra-high-performance concrete (UHPC).

I combine materials science and experimental testing with analytical and advanced nonlinear numerical methods. My research spans the application of advanced materials, including FRP reinforcement and UHPC, in structural members and seismic force-resisting systems.

I earned my PhD in Structural Engineering at Université de Sherbrooke, following bachelor’s and master’s studies at Isfahan University of Technology. Alongside research, I have worked on structural design, FRP product development, and communication between academic and industry teams.
